Located at 8310 IN-114 in Rensselaer, Indiana, La Fiesta Rensselaer is a gem in the heartland, blending the charm of a grocery store with the authenticity of a Mexican restaurant. Patrons rave about the culinary offerings, particularly the pork (carnita) sopas praised by George Yerion for their exceptional flavor and spice.
Reviewers like Sandi Pedroza laud both the friendly service and the extensive options available for those who appreciate Mexican cuisine. The menu may be concise, but as Matt Carlson notes, the chicken tacos are moist, flavorful, and generously filled, making every bite a delight. Dmitriy M echoes this sentiment, declaring these tacos among the best he’s had, highlighting their loaded quality.
La Fiesta Rensselaer also impresses with its vibrant salsas, with Connor Garland appreciating the burst of flavors that elevate each dish. While the restroom could use some attention, the overall experience leaves diners feeling rejuvenated. Whether you're a local or just passing through, La Fiesta Rensselaer is a must-visit for a taste of authentic Mexican hospitality and flavor.

A typical Mexican market with a restaurant. The pork (carnita) sopas were very good. Both of the provided salsas were spicy.

Awesome to find such amazing authentic Mexican food in such an unexpected place. Some of the best tacos I’ve had in a while! Absolutely loaded too.

This is a diner/grocery store and worth a stop. Only a few options on the menu, but crazy good chicken tacos. So moist and flavorful and my taco was solid meat almost (see photo.) Only bad experience: Restroom had no toilet paper. ...

The Lord knew that a weary traveler such as myself was in need of a watering hole like this. Jarritos in an Indiana field is like music to the soul. The green and red sauce opened my eyes- the world is more than tariffs and budget cuts. Mother Mary blessed the food iykyk

This is a restaurant inside a Mexican store. Don’t let that stop you. Walk in go to the left and grab a seat and menu. Food was amazing and make sure to use the green hot sauce.
